About me
Just like you I’m also on my own journey of growth, learning, and becoming the best version of myself. Outside of being a therapist, I’m a mom and a wife who loves spending time outdoors, cooking, crafting, and being with the people I love and navigating all the ups and downs that come with being human in this busy, unpredictable world.
My journey as a therapist started when I made a commitment to make a positive change in the community that I live in.
My initiation into practicing therapy was in community mental health, where I worked with individuals facing big challenges such as incarceration, severe mental illness, and substance abuse. While the work was meaningful, over time, I began to feel burnt out and disconnected from the passion that first brought me to this field.
By 2020, I knew something had to change. I decided to step back and focus on building my private practice, a decision that brought balance back into my life. This shift allowed me to show up fully for the people I work with and gave me the space to heal my own nervous system from the relentless pressure of achievement-driven goals.
That experience not only renewed my energy but also deepened my understanding of how to help others rewire their nervous systems in ways that feel safe and supportive. It reminded me why I love this work, helping people strengthen relationships and create lives that truly feel like their own.
In the last few years, I have found myself working mostly with teens and young adults as they transition through high school, university and find their way into their professional and personal lives.
Ongoing Education
I strongly believe in expanding through learning.
As new understandings of psychology continue to grow, I continue to educate myself to stay up to date.
